Now taking bookings for 2013 !

Easternmost is a spacious but cosy self-catering cottage in Acharacle on the Ardnamurchan peninsular on the West Coast of Scotland, UK, about 20 miles west of Fort William.

The cottage sleeps 4 people in 1 twin and 1 double bedroom upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs could accommodate 2 more. There's a well-equipped kitchen, a large sitting room with a wood-burning stove, a library/dining/office room with Wi-Fi broadband and a Freesat TV, downstairs bathroom plus additional upstairs WC. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Easternmost is situated above the River Shiel about a mile out of Acharacle, which has good wee shops and eating-out facilities. The cottage looks southwards out accross Kentra Moss SSSI to Kentra Bay and the hills behind. There is a secure enclosed garden and a conservatory porch for enjoying the many sunny days we get here. There is off-road parking for up to 3 cars and sheltered secure places to put bikes, kayaks etc.

The area immediately around the cottage is very photogenic and excellent for birdwatching - from goldcrests to eagles.  Other wildlife seen around the cottage includes pine martins and otters. The night sky is spectacular! There are short, level walks along the river and to Loch Shiel; a little further afield are longer walks on hills and to sandy beaches and Castle Tioram.  Daytrips to Ardnamurchan Point and Sanna Bay, Arisaig and Mallaig, Fort William and Ben Nevis, and even Mull or the Small Isles (Eigg, Rum etc) are easily enjoyed, some of these even possible on public transport !

A quiet and very scenic holiday home for couples, singles, small groups of friends; well-behaved dogs are welcome; sorry no children under 12. The cottage is totally non-smoking inside but there's a comfy bench with an ash bucket outside in the sun or viewing the spectacular night sky.
